In-Dash Navigation update
In-Dash navigation systems save map data primarily on SD cards to update the maps, you must either buy a new SD card or update the one you already have.
Automotive GPS Update
The USB cable provided With the Trackomotive must be used to connect portable automobile GPS devices to the computer.
Marine GPS Updates
You must connect the SD card containing your device's information and acquire the appropriate map online in order to update your marine GPS. You must either buy a new SD card or update the one you already have.

HOW TO UPDATE YOUR TRACKOMOTIVE GPS UNIT ?
STEP 1
CONNECT YOUR TRACKOMOTIVE GPS UNIT WITH COMPUTER
Any GPS that needs to be updated must be connected to a computer using a USB cable or the SD card that came with the GPS. You'll see a prompt on the computer screen as soon as the GPS is connected.
STEP 2
CHECK IF MAP UPDATES AVAILABLE
You should be able to see the option to download the maps once the GPS is linked to the computer, and your computer will check the software and map data versions.
STEP 3
DOWNLOAD & INSTALL AVAILABLE MAP UPDATE
The Download Maps Button (the button's name may change depending on the manufacturer) must be clicked in order for the maps to be downloaded and sent to your GPS device.
THATS IT! YOUR GPS UNIT WILL UPDATE TO LATEST MAPS
All the routes and landmarks will be added to your device once all the maps in your GPS have been updated, so you won't need to worry about navigating in a new location. So, after getting a GPS with the most recent maps on it, you're prepared to cruise the globe.
